The mission of the Van Zandt County Probation Department is to reduce the impact of crime in the community by providing accurate and comprehensive information to the Court, by providing community-based sanctions and treatment for offenders, and by working cooperatively with law enforcement agencies and community organizations with similar objectives. |

Van Zandt County CSCD strives to balance the needs of our clients with the safety of the public. Our department offers a complete array of probation services, including:
- Pre and Post Sentence Investigations
- Civil Supervision
- Criminal Supervision
- Pre-Trial Services
- GPS monitoring
- Alcohol Monitoring
In addition to general criminal supervision we offer specialized case handling including:
- High Risk Substance Abuse
- Specialized Sex Offender Supervision
- Mental Impairment Supervision
